Donations from digital downloads go to A Ban Against Neglect. ABAN is a nonprofit that helps to empower women and girls of Ghana through education and industry. Founded in 2008 by college students, the organization has grown from reaching 15 women a year to over 50, and that’s before adding in their children and families. For women who would otherwise struggle to make a living, ABAN offers opportunities for education, safety, and an ability to earn their own income. Products are made in Ghana by the women and sold worldwide; most are made from upcycled water pouches, which helps eliminate trash in the community as well as providing a versatile material.
